                   AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 6958, AS
                   AMENDED, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, SO AS
                   TO REZONE A TRACT OF LAND LOCATED AT 1800 EAST
                   28TH STREET, BEING ON THE SOUTHWEST LINE OF
                   EAST 28TH STREET AT FAXON STREET, FROM R-2
                   RESIDENTIAL ZONE TO M-1 MANUFACTURING ZONE,
                   SUBJECT TO CERTAIN CONDITIONS.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That Ordinance No. 6958, as
         amended, known as the Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is 
hereby
         amended so as to rezone:
               
                A tract of land located at 1800 East 28th Street,
                being on the southwest line of East 28th Street at
                Faxon Street.  Lots 67 and 68, block 6, Central
                Park Land Company's Subdivision, as shown by plat
                of record in plat book 6, page 35, R.O.H.C.; being
                the property described in deed book 1296, page 86,
                R.O.H.C.  Tax Map No. 156I-K-23.
               
               
         from R-2 Residential Zone to M-1 Manufacturing Zone.
              	  
                  
              	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this 
Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage, the 
public
         welfare requiring it.
